Since 1974 the Foundation has provided a rewarding way for individuals and businesses to give back to the community by establishing endowed, charitable funds. Our staff provides expert knowledge of nonprofits, prudent financial oversight, opportunity to create funds with a range of assets, and competitive investment returns. Ten Reasons to give through Coastal Community FoundationPERMANENCE Grants are made in perpetuity, in the name of your fund, to benefit the community. SIMPLICITY With just a two-page fund agreement, you may create your own philanthropic fund. RECOGNITION Funds created in memory or in honor of someone will always award grants in that name. ANONYMITY If you prefer anonymity, we will carefully protect your identity. EXPERTISE We have more than 30 years of experience working to achieve our community's goals. TAX BENEFITS Our public charity status allows you to receive the highest level of charitable tax benefits. GRANTMAKING Our established procedures and criteria guide the grantmaking process for each fund. RESPONSIBLE FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Professional financial evaluators, including board members and staff, invest funds to produce long-term asset growth. INCLUSIVENESS We practice and encourage diversity and equity as the cornerstones of all that we do. PROTECTION FROM OBSOLESCENCE Our Board has the legal authority to redirect obsolete funds to the most closely related use. |
