Since 1974 the Foundation has provided a rewarding way for individuals and businesses to give back to the community by establishing endowed, charitable funds. Our staff provides expert knowledge of nonprofits, prudent financial oversight, opportunity to create funds with a range of assets, and competitive investment returns. If you work with a professional advisor, we encourage you to refer them to us. Fund TypesCoastal Community Foundation offers a variety of tools to help donors achieve their personal philanthropic goals. We look forward to discussing the possibilities of building a fund with diverse assets, naming it in honor of an individual or business, including your family members in the grant recommendation process, and applying the maximum tax advantage under federal law to your charitable gifts. Most of our funds are endowed, providing a permanent source of funding for the community. Each year, 4% of the average fund balance of these endowed funds is available for grantmaking, with the remaining principal serving as a renewable source of charitable giving forever.
