Cooper River Bridge Run Grant Applications Available

Berkeley, Charleston & Dorchester Counties ñ November 17, 2009. The Cooper River Bridge Run Grants Program now has 2010 grant applications available.

Begun in 2006, the Cooper River Bridge Run Grants Program annually awards cash and in-kind grant awards to nonprofit organizations. Grant applicants can submit program proposals to advance the Cooper River Bridge Runís objective of ìthe promotion of regular physical activity for a healthy lifestyle.î

Grant requests of $500-$1,500 each will be accepted from any nonprofit organization addressing that objective for residents of the three-county area served by the Fund.

The deadline for applying is January 8, 2010. Recommendations for grants from the Cooper River Bridge Run Fund will be made by an Advisory Committee by February 1, 2010.
